The Backstage is an immersive bar experience that uses spatial storytelling to explore themes of time, memory, and performance. Inspired by old Shanghai, the design unfolds as a theatrical journey, guiding guests through layered spaces, curated details, and sensory moments. By treating the environment as a stage, the project creates an experiential narrative where history and fantasy blend into a participatory night-time experience.
